Alright, I guess I’ll finally do this since nish has aleady posted a bunch of his…though sadly I can’t draw worth a darn so I only have pictures I have found online to represent my charas as well as possible. One thing I should probably note, a lot of my focus is centered around Neptune as it was my favorite planet growing up.
I should probably give all of you a short run down of Neptune as well seeing as my first character originates there and I don’t want to confuse people, or waste time with long drawn out explanations while I’m trying to give a charas background.
To put it simple, Neptune is a planet with technologies far more advanced than our own. The only reason we have yet to detect them is due to their planetary defenses. They have implemented a cloaking field that makes the entire planet appear uninhabited, and just below this field is a planetary shield protecting its inhabitants. The only access points are few and far between, heavily reinforced and guarded at all times. These “gates” as they are called, open only with sufficient clearance and only for a short interval, unless longer is necessary.
The Neptunians are an odd race, vaguely humanoid in shape. They have two arms and two legs, but only 3 fingers or toes on each limb. They also lack a mouth or nose, and speak only through telepathy. They absorb nutrients and psionic energy through their pores from living things around them. They also have a long thin tail that ends in a sharp hooked point that is their main weapon when unarmed. Their color ranges from various shades of purple, with some of the rarer colors being a deep blue to even black at times. Their skin is also much tougher than human skin, but only provides them with slightly better protection from attacks.
>.> think that should be good enough for now, if any of you have questions I could probably answer them, but please remember I haven’t thought out EVERY aspect of this race.

Alright on to the reason I made this thread, the charas. First up, (if you haven’t already guessed….and if you haven’t SHAME ON YOU!!) Is this guy Spyke Spyke is the main focus of the stories going on in my head and is the first character I created. Sadly this has given him the lions share of ability to take over my mind. He has been my online alias for as long as I can remember being online as well. Anyways enough about his relation with me and onto him Spyke is quite the character. Although he is about 19, he still acts very immature most of the time. He is usually very hyperactive, and just tries to have fun at almost all times as if life was just one big game. He has taken a liking to technology and has an affinity for anything mechanical. He’s easy enough to make friends with, as he can be overly friendly most of the time. Sadly, due to his hyperactive childlike nature he can sometimes give even the most patient people a migraine. He prides himself in his marksmanship with guns, his knowledge of computers and other forms of technology, as well as his ability to move much more rapidly than the average person. His weapon of choice? The plasma cannon, a small gun slightly larger than a pistol with a large barrel that is used to project pure plasma energy in a constant beam. It constantly burns through its energy core though. Spyke grew up living a normal life, well for a Neptunian anyways. Even at a young age he showed great interest in the advanced technologies of Neptune and was eager to learn more about it. He also enjoyed the simulators Neptunians used to play what we would consider video games, though video is hardly the term to use. As he got older he started to master how to operate Neptunian technology and wanted to learn even more. Eventually it dawned on him that the most advanced devices would belong to the Neptunian government, so he figured that if he enlisted into the military he might be that much closer to his dreams of seeing the most advanced technologies ever made. He soon learned of the organization N.E.P.A., or Neptunian Elite Protection Agency, the highest branch of Neptune’s military, and quickly went to enlist. During the screening process, a hologram emitter was detected on his person and forcibly deactivated, revealing a much more humanlike appearance with noticeably green hair. Spyke was confused so much he was practically frozen in place as he tried in vain to figure out what had happened. While he was searching for answers, the guards began to remove him from the facility as NEPA forbid anyone other than Neptunians from enlisting, as a way to keep out any spies from other planets. Before Spyke was thrown out, the leader of NEPA, who had seen this all take place, told the guards to bring Spyke to his office. The leader, who most operatives just called “Chief”, explained to Spyke that he was originally from another planet, but was found by a NEPA operative out in space alone in an escape pod. Further investigation revealed that it had belonged to a neutral planet spaceship that was attacked by a rival race. Most of the passengers had survived the attack, but or some reason Spyke was sent in a pod on his own. Not knowing if his parents were still alive or not, they had decided to raise him as a Neptunian for the time being, but as Neptunians tended to be a secluded race, outsiders were often discriminated against. In order to prevent this, they used the holo-emitter in order to conceal Spyke, and provided him with a device that allowed him to sustain himself like a Neptunian as well as emit telepathy. The chief also explained that Spyke had the ability to naturally move very rapidly and this had been suppressed as well in order to keep him from standing out too much in Neptunian society, but since the devices were removed his speed would begin to return slowly. With this disguise he was raised in a foster family as if he was Neptunian. It was because of this loophole, that the chief decided he should be allowed to enter NEPA as he was technically a Neptunian until a few minutes ago. Spyke, recovering from this change of perspective much quicker than any would think possible, gladly went in to the testing facility to earn his place as an operative. After proving himself in a few tests, and passing with almost flying colors (and setting a few new records thanks to his now developing natural speed), he was admitted into NEPA, and began performing missions in order to maintain peace for Neptune as well as those in the alliance. x.x sry this turned out a bit longer than I had originally planned….but I wanted to get his background out.

And now time to add the next one Hailing from the planet Melor, a land of steel and sorcery (I'm still in awe of how close this pic I found resembles my mental imagery of him...especially his sword) Is Sellassihr MeHedron(AKA Slash) --------Incoming Melor Information------------- Magic on Melor relies heavily on a persons magical element. Every person has one, but few realize they have magical energy, and even fewer know how to discover their element. Sellassihr's primary element happens to be fire, and he has a secondary element of wind. The Renkou are a slightly different form of magic, instead of channeling energy and focusing it with ones element, the energy is focused into a weapon the user has. This produces a result of abilities made of pure magical energy that vary depending on the person and the weapon they are using. Sellassihr's trademark ability is the Renkou Slash, which is simply an arc of energy launched by swinging his sword. ---------End Informational Jargon--------------- Sellassihr is probably my most serious character. He always sems to show little emotion, and scrutinizes almost anything. He normally fights using two identical longswords, and has magical spells at his disposal as well. He also is very strategic and tends to be the group's tactician in combat. His main problem though is that he tends to not be good with being social, and can sometimes be a bit arrogant. He has a unique ability of his own that he has dubbed the 'metal morph'. Which basically channels magical energy and turns any metal in his hand into a malleable state and reshapes it. He can even alter how much substance there is slightly, but this has limits. If the expanded material is attached to a new base that contains magic, though, he can then add to it again. Sellassihr was raised by his father, Aiden a retired adventurer who now works as a blacksmith, and his mother, Verrel who is currently one of the high priestesses of the local church of Mel, the main deity of Melor. When he was young he eagerly learned how to use a sword under the guidance of his father. He also received magical training from his mother. As he got older he learned of a special form of magic called the Renkou, and began to work on learning the secrets to using this new form of magic. When he finally became a full adult, he decided he wanted to travel around and use his skills in order to help others in need, while at the same time perfecting his swordsmanship and mastering the Renkou. Before he left his home, his father gave him a sword that he had crafted from a strange yet powerful metal that he had found shattered in pieces in a nearby ruin. Sadly there was only enough material to forge one blade and a second hilt. Thanks to the metal morph though, Sellassihr is able to morph this one blade into two by using the second hilt. During his travels he offered his services on multiple occasions, but due to his anti-social nature, never gave out his name. Eventually one of the people he aided saw his trademark ability, and decided to just call him Slash. Ever since then he has used that name as a way to introduce himself, and only gives out his real name to those he trusts.

Hmmm I'm bored so I'll make two posts today Hopefully after this next guy I can go on without having to spill a huge amount of information with each character
Today's lesson children is on the Gregnar of Neptune.
The Gregnar are a rare mutation of Neptunian. Seeing as the race already possesses some psionic power as all of them use telepathy, it seems only natural that some would mutate and gain even more advanced psionic powers. Gregnar are born seeming entirely normal until they reach a certain point where their powers kick in. Every thousand earth years or so, a Gregnar reaches their 'awakening'. In early times, these people were slaughtered much like people accused of being witches on earth, and after a time they were forgotten before the next one came around and the process repeated.
Eventually, one Gregnar, who grew up living a normal life and garnered the respect of many of his fellow Neptunians developed these strange powers at a much later age than normal. His status was the only thing that saved him from becoming like all of the others before him. Over time, he soon learned that he wouldn't age, and after a thousand years he was still alive to see the awakening of another like him.
Over the years more and more of these mutations were found, each one slightly different in strength and what powers manifested in the Neptunian. They eventually formed a council and became the core of Neptunian government, being much more stable than a government with its lawmakers changing every few years. This is when they were deemed "Gregnar" which in the ancient language of Neptunians meant "Wiseman". Each Gregnar was also given a new name to suit their powers, personality, or the influence they had on Neptune. The original Gregnar was deemed Farlo, or "Ancient one" and the second Jinthus, which roughly meant "Light bringer" but is better translated as "The enlightener" as he solidified the Gregnar mutation as being a recurring event.
The Gregnars longevity stems from their enhanced psionic powers, which have manifested in a way deemed "psionic maintenance" where the energies of their mind are enough to make sure that their body is repaired continuously and therefore never truly ages. This happens entirely subconsciously as well. It is because of this that no Gregnar is allowed to reproduce in order to limit the mutation and prevent overpopulation from a breeding race that never dies of old age.

But this story's focus is not on Farlo, or even Jinthos for that matter. No, this story focuses on the 33rd Gregnar...the most controversial of them all. I'm sure most of you who are reading this post have heard me yell in the chat box at some point or another XY!!! GAHH!!! or something to that effect....well now you get to meet him Seeing as no one can recreate my Neptunians, nor can I draw yet, his hologrammed human form will have to do. Xylo, or Blessed One Xylo never wanted the powers he has been granted. In fact, he never even dreamed he would be able to become a Gregnar. At the end of each Gregnar cycle, all Neptunians start to get their hopes up, hoping to be the next granted with amazing abilities. But this cycle had already completed. The 32nd Gregnar, had been found only 80 or so years ago. So, Xylo grew up knowing that he would just be a normal Neptunian. If only he knew how wrong he was. By the time he was equivalent to a human teenager, his powers erupted forth. The 33rd Gregnar had been found, and much uproar ensued. All of the Gregnar were taken in to custody to immediately determine if any had broken their most sacred rule. After a time, and all the tests were completed, Xylo was found to be genuine. The Gregnar immediately took him in, and began training him to join the consulate as soon as possible. He was also tested and shown that his psionic powers seemed strongest with telepathy and manipulating minds, but he quickly swore those off saying those powers lacked morality. His second strongest field, telekinesis, was the one he utilized the most. He also has a slight amount of power in clairvoyance, but rarely can predict the future. But usually when he does it is very important as it then has a strong enough force for his weak powers to notice. Xylo, sadly, had no interest in politics. His mind longed to travel and see new places, not sit in the same room everyday to discuss some new topic. He bared with this concept for about 15 years, but finally got sick of it. Eventually, during a regular session, Xylo stood up and went into the center of the discussion floor. As the members looked up and focused on him, he made his plea. That he should not be forced into working there if he had no desire to. Some of the Gregnar protested, saying it was traditionally their duty to maintain a stable foundation for Neptunian society. Xylo would hear nothing of this, and demanded to be allowed to leave the Gregnar counsulate. Farlo, being the referee as always, brought forth a simple question. "What would you do if you left the council? If you aren't sure, then I see no reason for you to quit now." Xylo was forced to pause at this, but quickly came with a response. NEPA constantly sent its operatives to foreign planets and the outer reaches of space. There was no better place for exploration than that. Xylo stated that he would enlist into NEPA as soon as he was free of his duties as a council member. This, made the uproar ever worse. A Gregnar leaving the security of Neptune and risking his life in unknown territory? It was unthinkable. Xylo's only response to this was that the Gregnar were gifted with great powers, yet these went to waste sitting around and discussing how to run next years budget. Out in the field defending Neptunes interest, a Gregnar could use his powers to their fullest. So why should they be restricted? After a little more discussion, Farlo finally silenced the room. He opened up a vote to the council "Those in favor of allowing Xylo enlist into NEPA, provided he scores exceptionally[/b] well as to prove we Gregnar can offer more than the average Neptunian?" This added condition was his own idea, seeing as it might sway some of the council to allow Xylo to try in hopes of seeing him fail and never bringing this topic up again. Ultimately, his plan worked, and Xylo was allowed to leave by a narrow margin. At the testing facility, Xylo made use of his powers and surpassed all expectations of new recruits with ease. He brought the Chief's report back to the council, and the members that were hoping he would fail sat in an awkward silence, simmering with the anger of losing to the newest member of the council. Xylo was then free to work as a NEPA operative, and assigned his first partner. Little did he know that a veteran operative now had an opening for a partner. That operative, was Spyke, who happily welcomed his new partner, seeming to not even care that he would be working with one of the legendary Gregnar, let alone The Blessed One. It was this attitude of Spyke's treating Xylo as an equal even with his powers, that seemed to appeal to Xylo the most. He gladly joined Spyke and they have been working together since.

Joining Sellassihr from the planet Melor, Is Sirion Kenjido. Sirion is a simple druid, who spends most of his time inside his hidden grotto in his forest. He is always accompanied by a pure white wolf, named Ambient. Sirion has trained mostly to use magic and has all of the primal forces of nature under his control, and his most predominant element being earth magic. He can be a little rambunctious at times, but generally means well. He also tends to go against those that try to take an authoritative role without first proving themselves worthy of ordering him around. Sirion was rarely willing to meet with those outside of his forest, and tended to ward away any intruders that might come too close. Sellassihr found out this second fact pretty quickly. He had been traveling to a nearby village hearing about a large disturbance in the area, and decided cutting through the forest would save him time in travel. Near the edges of the forest, Slash stumbled upon a white wolf, who at the time seemed to have not eaten for quite some time. Amazed that this wolf could even survive this long outside of its normal climate, Slash gave it some of his rations and continued onward. The wolf seemed to follow Slash for some time, until Slash shooed it away as he didn’t want to have to keep taking care of it. As he neared the center of the forest, parts of the ground began to shake, and then took form of a wall preventing him passage. Not wanting to be deterred and forced to take a longer route, Slash confronted the one responsible. Sirion warned him to leave immediately as he was invading Sirion’s protected territory. Sirion then began to fire a few warning shots in order to get his point across. Not wanting to back down, Slash began to fight back, and a battle began to ensue. Sirion’s knowledge of the area proved to give him a large edge, and allowed him to stay at range while whittling away as Slash with his superior magic. Before any dangerous blows could be landed, though, the white wolf reappeared and charged at Sirion seeming to want to protect the one who probably saved his life. Sirion, not wanting to harm a creature of the wild, held back his attacks, as the wolf began to strike more and more rapidly. Sirion quickly trapped the wolf with another spell, but due to this distraction, Slash had managed to find an opening and got within reach of Sirion. Sirion managed to protect himself but surrendered, now willing to hear Slash out. After a short discussion, and learning as to why this wolf was willing to protect Slash. Sirion apologized for jumping to conclusions and was willing to let them pass through his territory. Slash, thankful that the fight was over, had one more favor to ask of the druid. He still did not wish to have a wolf following him around everywhere he went, and as the druid seemed to know more about animals than he did, he entrusted the wolf into Sirion’s care. Sirion took the wolf with him, and due to the speed at which this beast struck Sirion decided to call him Ambient, as he felt almost as if he was being attacked on all sides at once. Ever since, Sirion has been a willing companion to Slash, and over time accepted him as a leader, and would later lend his aid to the others of the group.

The next Melorian to join us is Cedric Roullawren Cedric is a very shy person. He is probably the most pure hearted of the group. He is generally very kind to almost everyone he meets, but is willing to do whatever it takes to defend another in need. He can also be a bit of a klutz at times, and due to his random screw-ups his self esteem is sometimes rather low. Nonetheless he is Sellassihr’s apprentice and is a very loyal student, following his master’s teachings to the point at all times. Cedric started out as the oldest son of a farmer. He had to do a lot of hard work all the time, but due to his clumsiness, he could tell his father didn’t approve of him much. Some days it seemed that Cedric was kept busy just so his father wouldn’t have to look at him. Regardless, it was a peaceful life and Cedric was willing to put up with it. On that fateful day, there had been reports of thieves stealing from the people of the nearby village, but out in the surrounding farmland, it seemed unlikely that they would suffer at all. Cedric and his family went about their daily routine as per usual, not expecting anything to happen. Sadly this was not the case. Trying to escape pursuit of the town’s authority, the robbers ducked into the Roullawren’s barn. Cedric’s father was the first to stumble upon them. In order to keep him quiet, they lashed out and incapacitated him quickly. Knowing that his absence would soon alert anyone else living there, they proceeded to raid the main house. Cedric heard the commotion from outside, and rushed into the house to find his mother and siblings under attack. He grabbed a nearby broom in hopes of using it as a weapon, but to no avail. He was quickly disarmed and knocked to the side. The only thing this distraction managed was allowing his younger brother to escape. Things began to look hopeless for them as they would soon probably be used as hostages. Luckily, a known traveler was currently in the area, and the word of these brigands seemed like something to be taken care of. Sellassihr set out in search of the thieves and instead of searching the village, he explored the nearby countryside. He believed they would try to quickly find a place to hide out and rest, and he figured the outlying farms to be a prime spot. As he wandered down the road, keeping vigilant, he saw a young boy running in his direction. He called out to the boy to see what the matter was, and was told of strangers attacking this boy’s home. He sent the boy on his way to the village to get help, and charged to the farm. Upon arriving to the house the boy described, things seemed eerily quiet. He approached with caution and drew his blade. For lowly bandits, he figured he wouldn’t need to use the metal morph. He seemed to not have been spotted yet, and hoped that the intruders were still distracted with dealing with the residents still. He snuck around the building trying to see if he could hear where they were located at. As he got close to one of the windows, he could hear voices. One of which was telling another to take everyone out to the barn to guard them. Slash waited for a moment, and heard the back door open. This was probably a good opportunity to strike. He slunk over to the back, and spotted two of the thieves herding the family who were now bound. Using too much force wasn’t an option as the hostages might get caught in the blast as well, but he couldn’t charge in or they would be aware of him before he could get within reach. He took his chance and charged his energy focusing on the fire within him. The magic erupted forth in two small bolts of heat, and he rushed in after them. Before they knew what was happening, flames slammed into them from behind as their clothes caught fire. They panicked and fell to the ground trying to put themselves out. By the time they could stand back up, a blade was being held inches away from them, ready to strike at any time. They quickly surrendered, as Slash cut the ropes of the hostages, telling them to get to safety. Cedric started to leave, but turned back in order to watch as he was intrigued by this man's skill. Slash then took the thieves to the storage shed, and sealed them inside before heading back to the house. There he caught the leader completely off guard. As the man drew his weapon, he was immediately hit upside the head with the flat of Slash’s blade, sending him sprawling to the ground. Shortly after the town guard arrived and found the situation completely under control. The bandits were taken away and the family returned to their house relatively unharmed. Slash began to leave but was soon stopped by Cedric, who had chased after him. The boy, after seeing what Slash had done realized how weak he had been trying to protect his family and scorned himself for being unable to do anything. He pleaded with Slash to learn under him, in hopes of being able to fight if the need should ever arise again. Seeing the devotion in the boy’s eyes, Slash decided to take him along, but became a very strict teacher from that day on. If Cedric wasn’t willing to put up with these hardships, he was not ready to learn how to fight. But, the boy’s determination stayed strong, and after finding that he preferred fighting with a shield, he began to train for combat with his master. Cedric also seemed to quickly learn how to use magic, and discovered his elemental focus to be that of water, but more importantly he began to learn how to utilize the renkou as well. The first ability he discovered launched a bolt of energy out of his shield, and the second produced a barrier of energy that would protect him from attacks. The renkou beam and renkou shield would only be the start of the abilities he would gain as he continued to follow his new teacher.

Okay time to move away from Melor and onto the third major planet in my head, Ehr. It resides in a similar timeframe to Melor but without the feel of the European renaissance. The planet is also filled with conflict between forces that we would consider angelic and demonic, with the humans caught in between which could tip the balance of power either way. Magic also exists on Ehr, but it isn’t as openly available. Usually only families that contain magical powers can spread it across the generations. The first of the two from this planet is Rastus Sundar This is him with his original weapon as well Rastus can seem like a ruffian most of the time. He seems to enjoy fighting and will gladly use his skills to prove a point if necessary. When he is not doing anything, though, one can see his thoughts start to wander to more depressing topics just from his expression. One can easily come to the conclusion that he has a lot on his mind, and uses the excitement of combat to keep his thoughts away from them. Rastus grew up in a small village with his father, mother, and his younger sister Shalaya. Their life seemed pretty uneventful except for the fact that their father often was abusive to the family. After a really big bout one night when Rastus was 6, his mother quietly took him and Shalaya and left bringing what little she could to help them get by. They fled a few towns away and settled in a small house near the edge of a forest. Over the next few years their mother worked in a nearby noble’s house in order to support her children, and they spent most of their days exploring the forest. After a few years, their father had found them again. He was furious and went to the house one night. He forced his wife to come back with him, but Rastus and Shalaya escaped into the woods since they knew it so well. After hiding in the protection of one of their favorite trees for the night, they sneaked back out to see what had happened to their home. Their mom, of course, was nowhere to be found, and the place seemed ransacked as well. The two took some food, and wandered off again, and soon found a hidden village on the other side of the forest. There they were taken in by a family devoted to fighting off the evil spirits that existed on this world. Rastus learned how to fight during his time there. He used a poleax as his preferred weapon. He also learned that he could focus his energy in order to temporarily strengthen his muscles enhancing his strength and speed; he called this power his “Muscle boost”. The downside was that once this power wore off, the muscles had done the same amount of work, but were back to their normal strength and would therefore usually be sore and tired afterwards. Usually he could only use this power two or three times a day without risking severe injury. When he became an adult, he left the village in order to offer his services wherever they were needed. He went around giving himself the job title of demon slayer, as he went about destroying the evil creatures of the land. One day he had stopped in a town in order to rest after another battle. Using the reward he had gotten from his last client, he decided he would go and treat himself to something in the marketplace. He later found an item that he seemed to like, but another customer had his eyes on it as well. The two got into an argument, and Rastus decided it best they settle it in a fight. The two cleared an area of people and began trading blows. Rastus had to be careful with his strikes as he didn’t want to kill someone over such a small thing, but he still seemed to have the upper hand. As he went in for one last blow to knock the man away, he was caught off guard with a sudden strike. Sadly this did not stop his attack, but put the blade first instead as Rastus flinched from the pain. With that strike the fight was quickly ended, and Rastus dropped his weapon and carried the man off in hopes of getting him to a healer before he died. Using his muscle boost he charged through the town as fast as he could. The doctor worked on the man the entire night, and Rastus waited patiently for the news after retrieving his weapon. Sadly there was not much that could be done and the man soon passed on. Rastus left that town brooding over this event, and broke the blade off his poleax. He relearned how to fight using this weapon’s shaft like a quarterstaff and vowed never to use a bladed weapon again.

Along with Rastus is his sister Shalaya Windsong Originally my only female character, Shalaya, is the voice of reason of the two siblings. She tends to be more caring than her brother. Even so, Shalaya is anything but humble even though she is a woman. She asserts herself frequently and doesn’t let anyone talk her down. Shalaya’s history is tied closely to her brother’s as he made sure to protect her at all times, even when they were both little. After being taken in by their foster parents, Rastus changed his last name, but Shalaya didn’t as a reminder of their mother. She trained alongside him learning to use the bow mainly. She also trained in melee combat as well using hunting daggers primarily. Shalaya also discovered that their family must have had some magical prowess, as she began to manifest light energy spells. Her favorite application of this is to charge her energy and force it into an object before propelling it at her foe. The impact causes the unstable energy to erupt forth, shattering the weapon and blasting the area like a makeshift missile. She prefers to use this power through her arrows as they can easily be replaced and generally aren’t used more than once anyways, but on extreme circumstances she will throw her daggers if necessary. These generally also cause a bigger blast as they can hold more energy. It is because of this that Shalaya not only has two daggers on her belt for combat, but she conceals a pair of backup daggers in her boots. When Rastus left the village, he left Shalaya with a treasured amulet from when they were still living with their mother, made of silver and shaped like a coiled dragon, as well as the promise to return when she was old enough to leave the village. She patiently trained herself, anxiously wanting to travel around and putting her skills to use. Over a year later, only a few days before her birthday, a man entered the village asking for Shalaya. He handed her a letter and went on his way, saying a young man had sent him to deliver this. The letter contained a short message from Rastus, saying that he had run into their father and had a confrontation. He was safe, but something had come up so he wouldn’t be able to return to the village. On the morning of her coming of age, Shalaya quietly packed her things and rushed out of the village, desperate to find out what had happened to him. She traveled for the next few weeks, tracking him simply by rumors and word of mouth. It got easier overtime as his passing through the town was more recent as she slowly gained on him. Finally she reached a village where he had only left a short while ago, and ran off hoping to catch him by the end of the day. She found him resting in a small field, seeming to have just started cooking a meal. Hearing her approach he turned about bringing his weapon in for a strike, but stopped cold seeing her. She immediately forced him to explain himself and why he had walked off with hardly a word. As it turned out, on the day Rastus fought their father, something took hold of him. He could only explain it as him feeling power surge into him, and blacking out. The next thing he remembered was seeing his father, battered severely, running for his life, and dark energy still lingering on Rastus’ hands. He soon discovered he had been possessed by a demon named Toryl. Normally a stronger force like him couldn’t easily access the human realm, so he took a person’s body as a host until he could regain his powers. It seemed that he could also take control of Rastus for short periods as well, as the strange occurrence the day he fought his father happened a few more times since then. Not wanting to put anyone at risk, he avoided the village, and tried to spend most of his time on the road. He visited towns only to resupply and perhaps earn a little money as well. He then tried to get Shalaya to leave him, not wanting to put her in any more danger, but she adamantly refused figuring she could help him with this problem. They traveled to a nearby city, and Shalaya began researching. After a few days, she brought a pack of materials into the room they were staying in, and explained the ritual she was about to perform would expel Toryl from Rastus. Her light magic would make it even easier and more likely to succeed. After the entire ritual was prepared, Toryl began to realize he would soon lose his host and took control once more hoping to stop Shalaya. She anticipated this and had prepared a barrier to block his dark powers from passing through so she would be safe while channeling her energy. Toryl was stronger than anticipated though, and Rastus’ hand began to slowly pierce the barrier, reaching out to try and stop Shalaya. She quickly thrust the spell into Rastus’ chest as the demon flew out and slammed into the wall. He looked up at the two of them before turning himself into a blob of energy, and slinking through the wall in order to escape. The small amount of energy from Toryl still in Rastus’ hand did not go with him, as the barrier unintentionally held the energy there in place. Rastus could still channel the dark energies he had attained from the point of Toryl’s possession, and decided to make the best of this curse. The two of them then set out to finish what they had started, and began to hunt down the demon in hopes of destroying him before he could fully recover and wreak havoc.

Here we go…the only person in my head I have recognized as a main character that tends to fall on the evil side of the line. >.> poor guy’s just misguided….honest!!! Aerinth Delnaré Aerinth can be very cold hearted at times. He is one of the three characters of mine that show the least emotion, the other two being Sellassihr due to his extreme focus, and Leviathon, the machine who will be introduced later. He sees himself as chosen to enact the will of nature as it cannot do it itself. This self proclaimed mandate is the main driving factor behind why most would consider him evil. Aerinth was raised in the middle of a forest in a large mansion, constructed sheerly by the magic of his parents. His parents were magicians of a high caliber, and wanted their son to be the same, so they started his training at a very early age. Sadly the young Aerinth was more interested in the forest that surrounded their home than magic, especially some of the plant life there. But, his parents still held the power and wouldn’t hear of it. So he learned the intricacies of mastering his element and ways to mold spells into new intricate forms. Aerinth was still rebellious, and unknown to his parents he would sometimes sneak into the forest while neglecting his studies. During this time, he began experiments of his own, and found he could rapidly grow plants by channeling energy into them. Regrettably, the next step he had his parents to thank for. Using his knowledge of magic, he could channel multiple elements with ease, even though they weren’t his foci. With this he could combine earth light and water at a specific rate, along with the enhancement to cause a plant to grow in a matter of seconds. Over the next few years, he would continue to escape into the forest to perform more of his experiments, as he now tried to cross certain plants to form desired traits to come together in a new species. He would find a plant with a desired trait, cross pollinate it with the base plant, and using his magic grow the seeds in an instant and find the plants that came out the way he desired before moving on to the next step. Aerinth had grown tired of constantly being pushed by his parents in order to follow what they believed to be his goal in life. When he was 13, he had prepared enough. He took his last batch of plants and prepared seeds from them, putting them all in a sack to carry with him. He had been summoned to the study that day for his regular research period. As he entered the room, he took a handful of the seeds, throwing them into the room and channeling his magic onto all of them. They grew rapidly, as was expected and caught his parents off guard. He then ordered them to attack and left quietly, knowing that his small army would be more than enough as he had designed these to be naturally resistant to the spells his parents could use best. As he got down the hall, the sounds of conflict soon died off. Now that this obstacle was out of his way, he could easily focus on his own desires. He began making another batch of minions to take with him, and left his forest. He had heard from his parents of how wasteful and destructive humans could be, and wanted to see with his own eyes. To his dismay, their words did not seem without reason. As he explored, his hatred towards these people grew and grew, and he finally took it upon himself to dispose of this plague on the land before it could destroy everything, including itself. Unluckily for Aerinth, there has been a major thorn in his side ever since he decided to strike against humans for their destructive ways, and it was probably the last person he would expect it to be. Sirion, a fellow defender of nature, was willing to stop Aerinth in order to protect the humans. The worst part was, as easy as it had been to kill his parents, this new opponent seemed more adaptable to his plants strengths and weaknesses. On numerous confrontations Aerinth had been forced to retreat, only to try and plan his next army better. He still plots and prepares for his victory even now.

Time to give Neptune a little love…plus I wanna get Spyke off my back <.<…he’s mad that I put off posting this guy….anyways behold MY machine chara. Leviathon V.37 (yes I know leviathon is misspelled…it’s the model’s brand name…doesn’t HAVE to be spelled correctly >.>) Hey the pic is different from my others, but its kinda hard to find a robot designed like mine…besides this guy traces his origins to city of heroes, so it seems only fitting that his pic should be from it. Leviathon is rare for a robot, he seems to have a mind of his own as Spyke says. Truth be told he does have a sort of self consciousness. He is very logical as well, and rarely talks unless spoken to. Don’t let his over 8ft tall stature and darker textures scare you off though, as he has been designed to protect not destroy. The latter is just an aftereffect of some of his designs…as well as Spyke’s upgrades >.>. Leviathon, or Levi as he has been affectionately nicknamed by Spyke, was created by one of Neptune’s major corporations, Ellero Tech. The Leviathon series was created as a generic helper bot, and eventually evolved into a robot used to help citizens in dangerous situations that would put normal rescue teams at risk. There is probably no civil department without at least one Leviathon robot with them for emergencies. As the models advanced they were needed to be able to make decisions on their own sometimes to help rescue teams respond faster as it would take less time instructing the robot on the task at hand. This process continued until the 37th model went into development. Ellero tech was falling on hard times, most of their more recent releases hardly had any new features to really force their customers to upgrade to the new model. They put almost everything they had in this last ditch effort in order to drive groups to purchase the newest machine. They wanted this model to have almost complete autonomy so that its owner would just have to point out a problem and it would go to town on its own. They also wanted to make sure this model could perform its tasks much easier with a couple new features. For one, the machine would be able to make split second calculations to determine how bad a situation could be, such as telling when a support would break, or even how hard an incoming blow would be. In order to make sure this robot wouldn’t be damaged easily in its line of work, they also added in a new device that recently had been developed by another company. It could use energy to attract nearby minerals and solidify them wherever the user desired. This device made it possible for the machine to give itself a sort of earthen armor to protect it in case its hull could be compromised. The second device was a creation of their own, that made it so the robot could temporarily strengthen itself using the energy from its core. This allowed it to perform feats of strength none of the previous models could come close to. After they had finished producing the main model, they began testing. Things seemed to be going well until during one of the rescue simulations, a huge error occurred in the robots programming. The main safety that kept the robot under the control of its owner failed, and its autonomy took complete control. The workers tried to bring it back to fix the problem, but it broke away not wanting to be restrained from accomplishing its programmed task. It retreated and broke out of the facility, as security was sent to disable it. As the robot tore through the city, shocking the citizens as it went, someone heard the commotion and dashed over to see what the problem was. Spyke, who had the day off, stood in awe seeing this mammoth of metal, and decided to follow it. He soon noticed the armed guards following it, and prepared a weapon in case there was trouble. As soon as they had a clear shot with no civilians in the way, they tried to take the robot down. It managed to armor itself to stop the beams from draining its power supply, and kept running. Spyke now knew that they were targeting this machine, and jumped in their way hoping to protect it. They tried to run passed him, big mistake, before they knew it, they had both been hit with a stunning blast from Spyke’s gun. Spyke now caught up to the robot, which seemed to realize the danger was over, and offered a hand asking its name. "Leviathon Series, Search and Rescue Model, Version 37" was the only response he got. Spyke still wanted to learn more about this machine after seeing it armor itself from that attack. He tried to talk it into coming with him, amazingly the robot seemed to agree to go with him. Spyke was even more thrilled that he could seem to hold a conversation with this robot, something he had only tried in vain to do before. And happily led Leviathon to a teleporter to show him to his home and warehouse. Ever since then, Leviathon has helped Spyke on numerous occasions, and in return Spyke has done his best to use his own knowledge of machinery to upgrade Leviathon whenever he could. (As a side note, due to this huge project escaping and therefore failing horribly Ellero tech has sadly gone out of business )

On to the last character so I can be done with this. My tenth character is also the fourth hailing from Neptune. Again as he is a Neptunian, I’ll have to give you his humanoid hologram. Orellon even non-gregnar Neptunians rarely have last names, hence why Spyke is not listed with one. Though in my head Spyke takes on Slash’s last name while on Melor posing as a “distant relative” to explain why they travel together. And yes, this is why I go as SpykeMH….Spyke MeHedron. Orellon can seem very selfish, but it’s only because of the core of his own self code of conduct. The core of this code is that every action should be repaid with appropriate compensation. One should not do something without getting something in return, and if something is done for you, you should repay your debt to the other person in turn. Other than this code he has very few morals and walks the fine line between good and evil. He honestly could care less what he does, as long as it helps him get ahead in life. Another major fact about Orellon is that even though he is not a Gregnar, he is probably just as uncommon as they are. Unknown to most of the general public, there is a second mutation that can occur in Neptunians, one that isn’t based on their basic psionic powers, but on their body’s ability to absorb energy from those around them. It normally occurs in about 1 of every 5000 born on Neptune. Those that mutate in this way have greater control over their body’s absorption of energy, most of which can increase it to a much faster rate of absorption. The more energy a Neptunian has in them, the stronger and faster they can become. Even rarer are the ones that can not only absorb energy, but can transfer it as well. These are given a new classification, the “Psionic Conduit” as they basically can have energy flow through them to wherever they want it. Orellon is a special case even in this sense though (and not because of his dark blue skin color, a recessive skin pigment among Neptunians), as he has somehow gained the ability to absorb one of Neptune’s most predominant energy sources as well. He normally uses this with the weaponry he carries, which are mainly devices made of a light yet very durable alloy that is generally hard to sharpen, but using a device to emit a stream of energy along the weapons edge, the extreme heat can tear through most materials making it much more effective than traditional weaponry. On him at all times, are two one handed swords, a two-handed blade, a whip (rarely wielded, mainly used for its larger energy source to absorb), two punching daggers, and a spear. Orellon joined NEPA around the same time as Spyke. He figured working for the military would be a nice way to make money what with his skills in combat, especially Neptunian martial arts. The key of this fighting style is to disable your opponent’s defenses to allow for a decisive blow with the deadly Neptunian tail. When it came to firearms though, his skills were lacking. He passed through the tests with an above average ranking, but he didn’t accomplish anything truly spectacular outside of melee combat. With his predominant focus on the frontlines, and Spyke’s ability to excel at range, the chief thought it would be foolish to not pair these two together to cover their vulnerabilities. Thus, Orellon was Spyke’s original partner. The two got along decently enough and performed tasks with ease. Over time though, Orellon was under whelmed with his compensation, especially since he and Spyke were being assigned much riskier assignments due to how well they were performing. After a short while longer, Orellon couldn’t take it anymore. As they were completing another dangerous task, Orellon confronted Spyke. He tried to convince his partner to abandon NEPA with him seeing as they made such a good team. He was tired of risking his life all the time when the payment was hardly worth the danger they faced. Spyke, still wanting to learn more of NEPA’s technology, and staying loyal like a child to its parent, refused and tried to play it off like a joke. Sadly Orellon was completely serious, and being turned down proceeded to leave without Spyke before the job was seen through to the end. Spyke chased after him, trying to stop his partner from leaving. Orellon, now seeing Spyke as an obstacle, attacked. Spyke fell back, not wanting to get caught in melee with Orellon, even if he was unarmed at the moment, but he couldn’t bring himself to fire for fear of severely wounding Orellon. Against his better judgment he battled Orellon hand-to-hand, knowing that he had only a small chance of winning. Orellon managed to catch Spyke with a quick strike, and using the opening, grabbed him and flung him to the side. Before Spyke could recover, Orellon was already absorbing one of his weapons to enhance his speed and dashed off to their ship. Spyke gave chase, but wasn’t gaining fast enough. Orellon managed to get to the ship and shut the airlock, keeping Spyke out. Spyke helplessly watched as Orellon hijacked the hawk class warpbird they had recently purchased on their shared budget, and took off without him. Ever since, Orellon has worked as a mercenary, offering his services whenever the price seemed reasonable for the risks involved, and has confronted the group a couple of times working for the enemy. Usually he will quit immediately if he sees them arrive to wreck his client’s plans, knowing that his payment could probably never be enough to make him fight the entire group. But on some occasions he has managed to split the group to try and challenge them one at a time. So far this hasn't helped his chances much though.

…..okay After posting Orellons back story I realized I had to make mention to the warp birds…time now for me to explain some of them. To put it simple they are the top of the line when it comes to spatial travel on Neptune. They are called warp birds because, well, they can go warp speeds and have been designed like birds…simple enough. The first one is one of Spyke’s favorites and the first one he had purchased but was stolen by Orellon. The hawk class warpbird, sometimes referred to as the speed class. It is a small ship, capable of seating two people and having a small cargo area. This ships main potential is that it has the fastest movement of all the warpbirds in and out of warp. It is also the most maneuverable allowing for this lightly defended ship to avoid most attacks. This ship is only mounted with a single cannon, located in the “beak” of the ship. This weapon lacks firepower and usually isn’t used for combat. However, the ships main weapon is its own wings. These are made similarly like Orellons blades, light and durable, channeling energy in order to make the edges deadly. Add to it the extreme speeds this ship can reach, and most enemy vessels can be carved in two in less than a second. The second ship is the one Spyke uses mainly now with his larger group going around with him. Shaped like a bird of prey swooping in for the kill, the Peregrine Falcon is the backbone of almost any NEPA mission. It isn’t as fast as the hawk warpbird, but it is definitely not to be considered “slow”. It has enough maneuverability to get by, and is much more heavily armored and shielded than the hawk. It also has better armaments sporting cannons all along its front. Some of which can rotate to fire backwards to prevent enemies from sneaking up from behind. Their speed and power is so well balanced they are useful in almost any combat situation. This ship can comfortable seat around a dozen or so people, and has plenty of room to move around in. Next is a ship that is probably the least used of all the NEPA warpbirds. The sparrow is even smaller than the hawk, but still can seat two. Not much room is left in the ship for anything other than its pilots though. This ship has been designed to be a stealth unit, using its small size and energy signature as well as state of the art stealth and jamming systems to elude detection from even the most advanced devices. Due to its small size, it can also be used as a fighting escape pod on the larger ships. The two front cannons contain more firepower than the hawk’s but still aren’t much of a threat, other than that this ship is not designed for combat. The next ship is the true ship designed for major battles in space The heron is the battleship of NEPA able to hold a small army within it and designed to be able to sustain its crew for a long period of time, complete with living quarters and centers to keep the crew members fed, fit, and entertained while away from home. It is armed to the teeth with weaponry and is devastating in battle. Because of its large size it can’t dodge attacks easily, but has superior shielding and a solid hull making destroying it a difficult task nonetheless. Edit to store my thoughts without spawning a new post... >.>

Alright haven't messed with this thread in a looooong time...but for some reason I'm starting to get into a creative mood again, and felt like making some new characters. This is a new addition to the planet Ehr, I'm also planning for a new Melorian and a Neptunian to be added soon, but the ideas behind these charas are still in early stages. Kaytah Yattel Kaytah is a little high strung thanks to her higher class lifestyle, and because of this she can sometimes give off a holier-than-thou vibe. She is also very prideful, and feels she needs to use her powers to assist those without any. She wields a katana, and has some magical prowess, but it is limited mostly to empowering her weapon for devastating attacks, and reinforcing it for defense. Kaytah was raised in a higher class family, generally taught the finer arts and expected to help govern the people once she took over the estate. Kaytah felt a different calling (yes here comes the corny overused quote), great power did call for great responsibility, but her power manifested in more than her status and wealth. Kaytah used her free time to train in the ways of the sword, and managed to unleash her families latent magic potential. Unbeknownst to her parents, she soon made herself a protector of her lands by fending off any problems that may arise. At one time, a strong presence made itself known in the area, and Kaytah went out in order to dispatch it. The creature was a strong demon, and although fighting valiantly, Kaytah could not seem to defeat it. Before she was fatally injured, she made a hasty retreat, using a powerful attack to make an obstacle to hinder her foe. As the demon and Kaytah recovered from the fight, a posting was made in town for any assistance in destroying this creature. Two demon slayers answered the call. Rastus and Shalaya agreed to assist Kaytah, and the three set out to find the demon. The battle went much smoother with the three working in unison, although Rastus asked Kaytah to back off when signaled as she still was not in top form from the last fight, and Shalaya had a better time reading when she could fire if Rastus was the only one in melee. Kaytah sadly swallowed her pride for the sake of victory, and soon a critical blow was landed with one of Shalaya's charged arrows. The demon fell soon after, and the two were taken back to Kaytah's estate to receive their reward as well as Kaytah's heartfelt thanks. She also offered to assist the two whenever her powers may be of use to them. Later this offer was taken up, once Rastus and Shalaya realized the dire threat Spyke's group was up against, and acquired Kaytah's assistance for the entire group. She admittedly wasn't keen on the idea of leaving her homeland for a long period at first, but eventually got used to the ragtag bunch.

Helen Nethern x.x forewarning....this one got longer than I thought it would Helen is another of my fun little characters, if you haven't noticed I tend to focus around more serious ones x.x, so I figured we needed a breath of fresh air so Spyke would have some help in the cheerful department. She also fills in a character role I've had for a long time since I solidified most of what I wanted to do with Slash and Cedric, but never really built a character around. So it feels good to actually have this idea take form. Helen is our little dungeon diver of sorts, she was taught archeology by her father, and has recently begun excavating on her own. Of course her experience with some of the more dangerous ruins has taught her how to find and disable traps. Some of which has occurred through experience first hand. x.x Helen is generally very playful, even during combat. She wields a rapier she has found during one of her excavations, and over time has managed to learn lightning magic, which she tends to prefer over direct confrontation due to her small build. Also on a set of old ruins she found mention of an old form of magic utilizing weaponry, and decided she should try it out herself. Little did she know that she had found some of the oldest records of the use of renkou, and had soon started to manifest her own. Helen's introduction with members of the group was a bit of a chance meeting. Slash and Cedric had heard there was an ancient ruin recently discovered nearby the town they were in currently, and rumors were it held secrets known only by the ancient tribes of Melor. Slash knew that there had been ancient tales where levels of renkou never seen in this day and age had been utilized, but the key to these powers had been lost to time. Because of his obsession with mastering the renkou, he figured that they should explore this ruin in hopes of learning something new. The problem was, there were also rumors of the place being heavily trapped, so the two were very cautious not knowing what to expect. Amazingly, they made decent progress and no traps were in sight. As they started to get a little confident that the traps didn't exist, a high pitched voice yelled from nearby "STOP!". They turned to see a girl pinned to the wall by a large javelin, several others were jammed into the wall at other locations. It seemed to have missed her barely but had caught her armor which made it nearly impossible to tear herself free. "Okay, dunno how you two got here but this is perfect. Listen to me exactly, don't step on that...or that...or that...and make sure you don't bump that" she spouted out, carefully pointing out a few spots on the ground as well as a thin wire they hadn't noticed until mentioned. "So could one of you get me loose?" she said pleadingly "I'd blast this thing myself, but I'm afraid it might make something else shoot at me, heh heh". Slash stepped around to avoid the areas mentioned, being extra careful, and managed to get up to her. He braced himself and pulled the weapon loose from the wall. As she stepped away from the wall, checking to see what the damage was like, Slash started questioning how she had gotten there, and how she had ended up in her position when she seemed pretty knowledgeable about these traps. Helen explained that she had come to this ruin that morning, and was just exploring this place as no one had been in here before, and she had sneezed at a terrible moment causing her to hit one of the tripwires as she was preparing to disable its mechanism. After introductions, the girl, named Helen, proceeded to disarm the room and started to continue, singing to herself as she did so. Slash and Cedric, seeing that they all had the same goal, decided to follow her, realizing they were not prepared for this kind of situation at all. Once they had reached the innermost chamber, they found a large amount of writing, as well as a sort of altar against the back wall with a large shield lodged in the middle. Helen checked the room thoroughly and then began to check the runes to see what they said. Slash, intrigued followed her around, while Cedric went to check the altar. Helen read aloud that this room enshrined what was called one of "Mel's blessings". Supposedly there were many similar items, each allowing its user great powers. She couldn't figure out any of the details due to aging distorting some characters. During this time, Cedric took it upon himself to see if the shield on the wall might come out. He pulled as hard as he could and it slowly slipped out of its socket. Helen, seeing this, rushed over. As she looked around the altar, a part caught her attention "Lord Mel's Alpha Shield". Supposedly this was the "blessing" that was enshrined here. Although hesitant to take something considered holy out of a shrine, Helen didn't see anything wrong happening, and considered they could keep it. Having learned all they could the group left the ruins. The sun had begun to set, and the three decided they should part ways. Helen left them with a small parchment as a reminder of their association with her saying if they ever needed help exploring to find her first. She also said they could keep the shield as the thrill of excavating the ruin was enough for her. Slash and Cedric set up camp that day, curious as to what secrets this new relic they had found held. In the meantime, Cedric felt that perhaps using this powerful item may give them a bit more insight, and has wielded it ever since.

Hmm, I'm bored...and I've never really given these any details except mentioning how a few of each person's manifests...So time for me to take my over logical nature and apply some rules to the renkou.
To put it simple, the renkou come in multiple "stages". Each stage is more powerful than the last one, and generally only one renkou ability exists per person per stage. The first three renkou seem easy enough to attain, as many powerful renkou users have mastered this stage. Few though, have been able to attain the fourth stage. The fifth stage hasn't been seen for a long time, although this level of power is well known to those who follow the stories of the renkou. Anything beyond that is a mystery. Some legends tell of users mastering a sixth stage, but what exactly this stage allows, is still lost to time. Some ancient manuscripts have been found, but mentions of abilities from even stronger attacks, to enhanced strength, to even overwhelming elemental strikes have been found. While this sixth stage is still a mystery of what it truly is or if it is just a fairy tale is something that those that follow the renkou intend to discover.
I also intend to give a quick rundown of some renkou abilities of my three users.(Please note that each renkou doesn't just have a single function, generally they have an alternative function the user can activate to make it much more useful in combat.)
Sellassihr's abilities generally are arcs of energy launched from his weapons. Each tends to gain an ability that separates the energy allowing him to catch his opponent easier as normally these attacks can be easy to dodge. This gives him more tactical control of the battle, always keeping his opponent guessing how the next blow will move.
Stage - Name: Description
1 - Renkou slash: Sends out an arc of charged energy out with the swing of a sword. This renkou can be broken into a cloud of shards in order to assure a hit, although each shard is severely weak compared to the original arc. This has been given a secondary name when used, "Scattershot".
2 - Double renkou: By swinging both swords, a cross shaped energy wave is launched forward. This attack has much more piercing power than a single renkou, but still follows a straight flight path. This attack can be stopped during the swing, causing the energy to attempt to fly off, but then reattach to the weapon. The energy then needs no more focus to maintain, and is launched along with the next renkou attack. This is useful in strengthening a crucial attack in order to defeat a foe.
3 - Quadruple renkou: Performing a vertical, horizontal, and then a cross of swings, this asterisk shaped blast harbors lots of destructive force. This renkou is special in a way, as the attack can be broken into separate slashes as well as reorienting each ones intended flight path to practically any direction, even back the way it came. Usually yelling "Break!" when utilizing this trick, Slash uses this method to catch an opponent off guard once they have avoided the original strike, or to defeat multiple foes at once, or to even strike at enemies from around barricades and corners.
After discovering some of the secrets of ancient renkou users thanks to some ruin excavation with Helen, Slash managed to discover his weapon had at one time been a much larger blade. His father must have discovered the shattered remains of it, but as to what would have had the power to destroy such a strong material is unknown. Morphing his sword to its original form was impossible though as the change in shape and size was too much, but once his second blade was formed, he could combine the two using this new baseline and reform the weapon. His two longswords reform into a greatsword that bore the name "Omega Blade". Once in this form, Slash's renkou energy is easier to channel and he can access stronger attacks.
4 - Omega renkou: This is very similar to the regular renkou slash, except the renkou energy takes on a blue hue instead of the regular gray, and the arc is much larger. This power also has the ability of exploding at any point of its flight, or on impact if Slash so demands. The concussive force of this can make evading the large energy source still a risky option. As far as I am revealing my story, Slash still has yet to master this attack, as it drains him of his energy entirely, and he tends to black out for a short while after its use.
5 - Renkou Circle: This skill also requires the use of the Omega blade to activate. This stage of renkou forms a light green hue and functions somewhat similar to the omega slash. Instead though, the swing keeps going to form a full circle of energy that launches all around Sellassihr. It's function is rather simple as well, splitting the energy at any point of the attack causing the circle to become an arc that flies in the direction of the remaining shape(s). Slash will most frequently use this to split the attack behind him and throw the full force of the attack straight forward instead of all around.
Cedric's renkou tend to be more defensive than offensive. This follows their user's mindset, as well as his weapon of choice. Their abilities tend to punish Cedric's foe for attacking, instead of attacking themselves.
1 - Renkou beam: So far, Cedric's only offensive renkou. His shield shoots a ray of renkou energy straight forward. At any point during its flight, it can be stopped entirely, hanging in the air until dismissed or activated. This turns it into a floating shield with little depth unlike during its launch. This energy will activated when anything of sufficient force impacts it, thus small dust particles or bugs won't trigger it, but someone bumping it or a later attack will cause the energy to activate. Multiple beams can be held in this way, giving Cedric better control of the field.
2 - Renkou shield: Renkou energy emanates from Cedric's shield making a much larger representation of it out of pure energy. This allows him to block attacks. Generally though, attacks don't dissipate when stopped by this ability. Instead, they continually lose momentum until they have been rendered ineffective, and are then launched back towards their user with a burst from the shield.
3 - Renkou Sphere: A Sphere of energy covers Cedric and a decent sized area around him. This ability is much sturdier than the basic shield and can therefore protect against stronger attacks. On the ground, the other half of the sphere forms seamlessly into the ground to protect Cedric from attacks coming from below. This second half can also be formed away from Cedric, to form a dome around another location. This second half also has a function Cedric can control. As an attack hits his barrier, the energy of the impact is transferred to the other half and directed at whatever is inside it. Sadly this barrier is better at keeping things out than in and therefore if quick enough, an enemy can force their way out of the dome to avoid this effect.
A few fun facts about the Alpha Shield The shield itself has no handle. It is able to attach itself to its wielders arm with a small current of energy that it generates itself. This is controlled by the wielder so they can unequip or equip it at any time. Also, when using any renkou ability the shield tends to spin in place, making the energy spread out better and therefore making it easier to form the shields and barriers it is known for. Because of the energy handle, this does not tear the wielder's wrist clean off(x.x;) as it moves along the shield, keeping the grip around the wielder stationary.
4 - Alpha barrier: The alpha shield creates a much larger form of the renkou shield that is able to block much stronger blows than before. Much like the omega renkou, this ability takes on the same blue hue. Originally the special effect of this skill was unknown to Cedric as attacks just seemed to vanish but nothing of real value occurred. This soon changed with the introduction of...
5 - Alpha Burst: Again, similar to Cedric's only offensive spell, the Alpha burst fires a large beam of energy straight forward from the shield. This green hued attack, while destructive enough in its own right, only gets stronger after the Alpha shield has absorbed an attack through the use of the barrier. The built up energy is released along with the burst much like Sellassihr's double renkou charge. Those that attack the sentinel shield will reap what they sow.
Helen's abilities are more balanced than Slash's or Cedric's. Her abilities tend to manifest evenly between more offensive and more defensive ones. Her abilities tend to make her attacks more unpredictable than anything else, darting around and changing direction much like a master fencer should.
1 - Renkou thrust: Very similar to the renkou beam of cedrics, as a single ray is launched out of the weapon straight forward. The main difference is the size of the beam, as Helen's is much more focused due to the small tip of her blade. This renkou can alter it's course instantaneously up to 3 times, up to a maximum of a 45 degree change each time.
2 - Renkou parry: This causes a nearly invisible patch of energy to form in front of Helen. When a threatening attack comes close, the energy activates, becoming clearly visible, and deflects the blow to the side. This doesn't try to compete with an enemies attack, therefore allowing it to protect Helen from abilities much stronger than itself. Sadly if the attacks radius is large enough this ability is practically useless as the blow will still easily strike Helen. This energy can be launched forward on a straight trajectory in order to intercept some larger attacks and deflect them sooner though, making this a viable defense option once more.
3 - Renkou pillar: Jabbing her sword towards the sky or the ground, a beam of energy is shot out, and flies straight a distance, before altering course to her intended target, and then returning sharply back in the opposite direction of when it was first launched. This beam is much larger than the thrust, and travels relatively quick compared to most renkou. Helen can also delay its ascent or descent once it has reached its destination, in order to catch an opponent off guard with the pillar while they are distracted by other maneuvers. This requires some prediction in combat though.
4 - Iota Vortex: Helen's rapier glows blue and she swings her weapon through the air tearing a small rift into the fabric of the world itself. The energy forms a wall to some extent as there is no other end to it. Helen can create a second rift as well to anywhere in her line of sight. The two rifts are then linked and anything that passes in one end, will erupt out the opposite side of the other. Attacks, objects, and even people can pass through this and be placed on the other side. Helen often uses this to redirect an attack back at her foe, or reposition herself in a blind spot by leaping through it.
5 - Iota Flurry: This skill is a bit of an oddity amongst most renkou as they offer no benefit other than producing an energy based ability through normal motions. The flurry however abruptly allows Helen to quickly stab her sword 8 times launching green colored renkou thrusts in a small clustered burst. The attack is short ranged as the energy fades out rather quickly, but can launch all 8 out further with a secondary burst that causes erratic flight paths that Helen cannot control. While inaccurate this option can be used to deal with larger targets, or masses of targets, or possibly to try to catch an enemy off guard since neither will know where the shots will land.
Helen's weapon, the Iota rapier, was a weapon of her own discovery. As with Cedric's shield, she had discovered it in another ruin that gave mention to an item of great power. The weapon though, wasn't as well enshrined as the shield had been, and there was no real mention that this weapon possessed great power. (She mostly kept it for the shiny gems on the handle) It wasn't until The Alpha shield was found that Helen took a good look over her sword, and found a small engraving that meant "Iota Rapier", leading her to believe that her sword was another of Mel's Blessings.
Beyond the 5th stage, renkou get interesting. As our users progressed they managed to attain the legendary 6th stage of renkou...in a sense. What they came to realize is that all legends of these mythical powers were true, but not all at the same time. The sixth stage is actually a set of 3 renkou powers all at the same level of strength. Each one empowers a certain skillset, but weakens those from others. Stronger renkou attacks deny even rudimentary elemental powers, and slow the user down. Increased strength and speed deny the user any magic. And focusing ones element hinders their link with their weapon to form renkou and denies effective wielding.
Slash 6 - (1) Renkou Rainbow - Seemingly named for the rainbow glow given off by this form, the rainbow strengthens all of Slash's renkou powers. But the real reason for the name is a trick hidden by its wielder. As he has stated, the ability gives each of his powers a rainbow of options available to it. Which is true, as all of his renkou powers are able to perform any special function of the other attacks. An omega can be split, a double can explode, and a circle can be locked onto the blade for a later attack. But not only that, multiple effects can be chained as well. A high powered attack that was avoided could be broken to reorient, then scattered to deny further escape, for example.
(2) Renkou Bladestorm - Much like others of this set, the bladestorm makes Sellassihr much faster and hit harder than when outside this mode. The true claim to fame of the namesake is the bladestorm maneuver, in which his speed increases immensely as he runs a small circle around his foe, trapping them within as winds and dust are kicked up into the air around him. He can then strike at his foe who has to now defend all sides at once as his foe can be almost anywhere. Should this assault not be enough to break his opponent's guard, Sellassihr has discovered a hidden aspect of this form. It doesn't just increase strength and speed...but all the users natural abilities. Sellassihr's metal morph, neither elemental nor renkou, is just that. In this mode it becomes much faster to morph and can alter a blade more than normal. This secondary assault, the Snakewind, causes his swords to bend around his opponent's defenses as he strikes at them, morphing at incredible speeds. The attacks are weakened slightly due to the shifting weight of the weapon, but it ensures that almost no one can avoid the assault.

Okay, after a long period of writer's block...here's the fifth neptunian, and 13th chara I've made. Trillium Enthellis Trillium is a scientist. She researches many strange phenomena, and works within a government run lab facility on Neptune. She's generally shy and quiet at first, but gets a lot better once she warms up to you. A good portion of her body is mechanical, after an accident that occurred with one of her experiments. Restoring her damaged parts WAS a possibility, but the long recovery time and rehabilitation period that would involve seemed less appealing to her, so she opted for cybernetic replacements. This provided other benefits as well. Since her body was now part machine, it would be more durable to future problems such as the one that debilitated her in the first place. Trillium is not a true Neptunian, but was born on Neptune to parents that had immigrated there. Her race is currently under an alliance treaty with Neptune, making her living there legally not a problem. Sadly she did not receive the best treatment growing up, being an outsider. This left her to be more shut in. She kept to her studies and learned a lot about scientific advancements Neptune had made, and found that to be her true calling. Over the years of working as a scientist, things generally went pretty smoothly, aside from the incident that changed her. One day though, an operative from NEPA came to speak with her. A current operative was investigating a strange energy source that seemed to be a potential threat to Neptune, and had been discovered in two locations already. In order to truly understand this energy, they needed someone to examine it, and she seemed highly qualified for the job. She was given status as an honorary NEPA agent, the closest to being a member of NEPA, without a lot of the restrictions or tests. She was then assigned to the operative currently working this assignment, Spyke, who was overjoyed at the sight of another robotic companion. His overreaction and outgoing nature, coupled with his childlike tendencies, confused her at first as she tried to figure out how to respond to this person who was moving about faster than she could think. After a few moments she shied away from him. Xylo managed to calm Spyke down, and actually got Trillium into a conversation. After getting aquainted, and receiving an explanation as to Spyke's outburst. They started to give her a run down of the situation. During this time, Spyke mysteriously vanished. They planned to leave again to investigate this energy source the next day. Sadly, Trillium had no means of defending herself in case of an emergency, and Xylo did what he could to equip her, even though she had little experience with a gun. The next morning, A drowzy Spyke walked into the launch bay, holding three small orbs in his arms. As he stumbled into the ship, Xylo questioned what had happened. Spyke looked around, and saw Trillium sitting by herself in the back of the ship, and approached her. "Made these for ya!" He said, holding the orbs out. "Didn't see any weapons so I figured you didn't have any!...You have a signal generator on your head there right?" He said, pointing to the device on the side of her face. She nodded slowly, confused. "Perfect! I'll give ya the frequency! Red here blasts stuff, blue will do various stuff, and green (he seemed to smile a bit more at the mention of this color) will fix ya up!" She stared at them, changing her device to emit on the frequency he mentioned. At the first signal, all three orbs lit up and launched into the air, slowly spinning around her. She soon learned she could control their movement, and as Spyke had mentioned their lights were colored, red, blue, and green. The green one seemed slightly better polished than the other two. With that the poor sleep deprived operative, collapsed in a nearby seat, and they headed off to continue their mission. Trillium managed to quickly learn how to utilize these new devices rather effectively, and began to get used to Spyke's crazy antics.
