Warning: It is a love story... well, a short story that is actually short.
So... We got 2 characters, Joseph and Miranda, they are a a party at one of their friend's house (yes, there are other peple there) and Joe starts thinking to himself, and he begins a conversation with... his brain? Or perhaps his heart?

A Good Way To End Your Day
(The Voice Inside My Head)
"Love shouldn't be this hard." Joseph said to himself. "Why can't I just go talk to her?" He couldn't take his eyes off Miranda. "Why can't I make myself get to know her?"
Because, said a voice that only Joseph could hear. You wish to be with Miranda, yet you refuse to believe you are meant to be with her.
"That's not true... I believe we are meant to be together... and I'm arguing with myself. I've gone crazy because of her..."
You aren't crazy, you just need to get this off your chest, you've been dwelling on it too long.
"You're... er... I'm probably right. I should listen to meself more often." Joseph said as he started walking towards Miranda.
"Hi, Joe." Miranda said as Joseph approached her. "Whatcha up to?"
"Well, I need to talk to you about something. Would you walk with me?"
"Sure." She replied. The two walked away from their friends that were with them, towards the pond. It was so beautiful at this time of night.
"Miranda, I really like you, and love is a strong word, but I have strong feelings for you." He paused, waiting for a reply. When none came, he decided to continue. "You don't have to answer now, but it has really been bothering me and I just want you to know I have feelings for you." He stopped, and looked deep into her brown eyes. She smiled at him.
That's a good sign, he heard the voice say. He was surprised Miranda hadn't said anything yet. He turned to walk away, but decided to look back at her once more.
Miranda had tears in her eyes. She threw her arms around Joseph's neck and whispered to him, "I love you too." They held onto each other, silently standing by the shimmering pond. Joseph looked out across the pond at the moon suspended in the sky.
You picked a good way to end your day, came the voice.

Thanks to Jon! With him writing Silenced Roses, I now have time to write short, meaningless crap like this. =P
