I'm just going to ask the local Graphic members what programs they use to make graphics because I'm interested into making my own.

I don't know how to make graphics but I assume the common Photoshop is used. Which version? Not sure. I would like to do graphics but I've never even seen things like Photoshop.

I use Paint.net. Very simple to learn just by experimentation and capable of a lot of things if you try. It's free and has a lot of plug ins available.
I also have Photoshop CS2. Though, it takes a lot more time to learn how to do everything. But I'm sure the outcome would be much better. I wouldn't know personally. LOL
I've also heard of Gimp. It's supposed to be JUST like Photoshop [level of difficulty to learn it, too]. Apparently, it would even beat Photoshop business-wise but the producers don't have enough money for publicity. And I think it's free.
Lastly... every graphic designer's last resort. XD LunaPic.com... lol I won't even bother describing it. XD

I bought Photoshop 5.0 at a Best Buy since thats all they had. Using it for about 2 years and its pretty simple yet powerfull. I tried Photoshop CS2 but just gave it to Abbie since it was too boring to relearn x] For free stuff, People use Paint.net or Gimp. I myself have been using MS Paint lately for sketching since my scanner hates my drawings. Stevo uses the latest version of Photoshop which is CS4 and he says its good but its a big program (uses lots of memory and takes awhile to load) In all, use any Photoshop since thats the best you can work with.

Also if you have a tablet, Abbie uses a program called Paint Tool SAI which is pretty good for drawing. Theres a trail version here sai.detstwo.com/sai/Good thing about it is its only a bit over 2 megabytes. If you need more than the trial version give me a call via PM.

Can you give me more than a trial version of Photoshop CS2? (I already know how to work that program.)

I think the pack Gray gave me had the program and the keygen, so yeah I can. But I don't know how to send files unless it's on AiM or e-mail. Can someone tell me how? I'm gonna need to know how too for when I send the audio mp3 for the Nico song. lol

Put it into a .zip (or .rar) file and upload it to a site such as Megaupload or Sendspace etc, then post the link to the file here or PM it to whoever. =P

I use macromedia flash FX :> it's a pretty lame photo editing software, but you can make flash animations with it

I will when I make it.
As for your problem. You can't make animated .gif's with Paint.Net
If it's just something that is frame by frame, you can use Lunapic.com It'll make the quality a little gross looking, though. If you can get Photoshop, you can also do frame animations. It'll reduce the quality, too; but not as much.

I'll wait for Photoshop CS2, since I like doing some more complicated sh*t.

I got Photoshop CS4 for an early birthday present. I got it yesterday and I have no clue what to do. So far I've only given it a 20 minute look over because of my stupid job. It seems, only what I looked over, that it's going to be rreeeeeaaaally hard to get a hang of. Is CS4 good for making things transparent and stuff? I know it can be used for animating stuff, but is going to have to wait.
