Well, it doesn't really spoil anything, in fact, nothing is said of their final battle with... never mind. Really, I just decided to write the ending out, and this is it. If you don't want to read it yet, don't if you do, go ahead.

Chapter \The End?
Shalin was looking at Nikki, again. He couldn't help it, she was just so beautiful. But she was also dangerous. He couldn't decide whether he wanted to be with her or not. He thought back to when he had first met Nikki. I kidnapped her, Shalin thought. And I never apologized. Shalin got up, walked over to her bed, and sat down beside her.
“Hey, Nikki.” He said. “Do you remember when we met?” She stared at him.
“Like I could forget. You shot me, and tied me to a tree, and threatened to leave me there, you were even thinking about selling me!” She exclaimed.
“Oh... so you do remember.” Shalin began. “You know what I just realized?”
“What's that, Shalin?” She replied.
“I never apologized for that, so... I'm sorry.” Shalin said.
“Actually, it's okay, I'm glad you shot me and tied me to tree. If you hadn't, well, we never would have been able to go on this journey, and I have really enjoyed travelling with you.” Nikki said.
Shalin was shocked, he was glad they had gone on the journey too, but Nikki enjoyed traveling with him? That gave him confidence.
“Nikki,” He started. “I have something else I want to tell you.” Shalin paused.
“Yes?” Nikki was giving him a quizzical look.
“Well, the truth is, I've really enjoyed traveling with you too, and I don't want that to stop just because our journey is over.”
“Wait... are you saying... you want to go out with me?” She asked.
“Well, yes actually.” He replied, truthfully.
“Hmm... Can I pick where we go?” Nikki asked.
“Sure!” Shalin said, nearly yelling.
“Let's go back to the forest, to the place where we first met. I haven't been in the forest for ages. And let's take our sword.” Nikki said, with a dreamy look in her eyes.
It was that easy? Shalin thought to himself. Why, why didn't I do that way back when? If I had known it was this easy, I would've asked her out before we left the kingdom the first time together!
“Yeah, that sounds nice.” Shalin said. “When do you want to go?”
“Let's wait a few days, surely you must be tired after everything we have been through in the past few weeks?” Nikki was looking at him differently now.
“Yeah, we should rest up. Speaking of which, I'm going to go get some sleep, see ya in the morning!” Shalin said and he decided to do something he never would have thought he could do. He leaned over, and kissed Nikki good night. “I love you.” He whispered to her, before he left the room.

Shalin waited patiently for his date with Nikki to arrive. Five nights after he had kissed her, he brought the subject up again as they were walking through the palace garden.
“Nikki, how are you feeling?” He asked.
“I'm feeling good.” She replied. “Why?”
“Well, I was just thinking, today would be a great day for a stroll through the forest. You still want to go with me?”
“Yeah! I'll have the cook prepare a picnic for us. Meet me at the gates in two hours?” Nikki was obviously excited.
“I'll be there.” Shalin promised.
Two hours later, Shalin greeted Nikki at the palace gates and took the picnic basket from her.
“You look nice.” Shalin said to her.
“Thank you, you look nice as well.” It was true, Shalin had worn his best tunic, which he had gotten from the king's tailor after he had left Nikki earlier.
They walked into the forest, hand in hand, not saying a word, just enjoying each others company. As they neared the shack that had all of Shalin's equipment in it, Shalin threw their sword aside, and it stuck in the ground.
“What's the sword reflecting?” Nikki asked.
“Go see for yourself.” Shalin replied. Nikki walked over to the spot where the sword had landed. On the tree where Shalin had tied Nikki, was a batch of roses, tied to the tree. Nikki shed a tear, as Shalin walked up behind her and hugged her from behind.
“I love you.” He whispered, again.
