I really like how this game is played: like an arcade shooter. This is actually the first RE I've ever played... Do you think I'm missing out?

It's ok but I like resident evil 4 better....It's worth the buy imo if you really like horror/survival games

I haven't got this game but it looks really fun. First resident evil game I played was RE4 on the wii. I must say, it was pretty good.

bump: sorry but people keep saying how they think re4 is a great game, and didn't answer the question if he's missing out or not. And actually, resident evil 4 is less of survival-horror and more focused on intense action-horror.
The first few resident evil games were played with set camera viewpoints, and focuses on ammo conservation and fleeing at the right times. They also revolved largely around puzzle solving. You probably won't find them in stores anymore (aside from code veronica X), but if you can find them in a blockbuster, rent them. You either love it or hate it.
